It looks like Year 3 of Rainbow Six Siege is coming on strong with the announcement of the two newest operators has been released. The newest addition to the game, an alien fighting coop experience dealing with a plethora of new alien enemies also has given us two new operators to take out this new threat. Lion and Finka are the names of the new CBRN ops and we now know a little bit more about what skills they have to offer.

The new attacker Finka who's real name is Dr. Melnikova is a Spetznaz just like Glaz and Kapkan. She acquired this name from a training accident with Kapkan where she was left with a scar across her face, Ubisoft claims Finka means knife but the translation just isn't there. She is equipped with the Spear .308 Rifle, SASG-12 Shotgun and the 6P41 LMG as her primary options and as secondaries she brings the standards the PMM and GSH-18 Pistols. Her signature ability is where things get interesting, at the beginning of the match she injects the other operators with a special zinc cocktail that when activated gives them a boost in health and steadies their aim. I can see this being helpful during an intense breach but it seems pretty situational to say the least. We all have seen though, it is all about the weapon load-out that makes a character OP... looking at you Ela.

As far as the defense side goes for the new ops Lion is your guy, Oliver Flamient was the first recruit for CBRN that Finka suggested. For his load-out he takes the V308 Sub-machine Gun, 417 Marksman Rifle and SG-CQB Shotgun. For secondary options he has the P9 Pistol and LFP586 Revolver. His special ability is the EE-One-D. This device creates a hot zone for him to monitor on missions. It seems to be used as a sort of UAV over an area, much like a camera but more passive than going into camera mode.

That is all we have so far about the new operators. For more info don't forget to watch the Six Invitationals this weekend!
