IndieDB, a popular indie game news source, held a voting session for the best indie game this year. To some individuals' surprise, the Gaming Award winner Cuphead did not hold the top spot. Instead, the game Foxhole, by publisher Clapfoot, took the cake in this year's voting.

For those that haven't played this great new look of war combat games, Foxhole is a massively multiplayer online sandbox title. Each player brings something different to the table, depending on the needs of your army. You control your soldier in an army of thousands and can do anything from setting up logistical routes and recon to going into combat with your fellow soldiers. Take a look at the gameplay trailer for this up and coming indie game.
