When Elder Scrolls: Legends was first announced, it got a lot of flak for seemingly jumping on the popularity of Blizzard's Hearthstone. Bethesda did make sure their new game had its own flavor, though. It has a darker feel and enough difference in playstyle to stand up on its own. But when that sentiment ran out, Bethesda began implementing fresh ideas into the mix. One of these ideas was to introduce a mode called the 'Chaos Arena.'

Chaos Arena was introduced earlier as a temporary mode. The lore is that Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness takes a bit of control. Because of that, the new game mode offers crazy new rules and lane conditions. And to top everything off, rules can change on the fly.

The next iteration of the Chaos Arena starts on Friday, January 20. Bethesda is looking to make it into a monthly event. So if you haven't logged onto Elder Scrolls: Legends in a while, you may want to check out the Chaos Arena this month. It may just be different enough to hold your interest.
