I'm not going to lie... when I saw Hideki Kamiya take the stage at Microsoft's E3 press conference... I squealed like a little girl. I predicted that Platinum would be the exclusive third-party Japanese developer in my recent op-ed, but I was admittedly skeptical on the base that Platinum has been working on some Nintendo WiiU exclusives.

This is Microsoft's chance at capturing the Japanese market... and I have to hand it to Phil Spencer, this is a pretty genius move. Capcom's Monster Hunter is a hugely popular franchise in Japan, in fact it is one of the biggest Japanese game franchises ever. Kamiya was once one of Capcom's most creative game directors, having created Devil May Cry along with some other great games.

Of course no gameplay footage or details yet... but enjoy the pretty CG trailer and dream your dreams-
