Spoiler: Not Much

As a surprise to literally no one, news sites have been reporting cases of Pokemon GO related injuries. These stories have popped up on practically every social media feed in existence. Anyone whose inner child has already crumbled to dust have been posting them to mock Pokemon GO players. There's the case of the two California men who fell off a bluff. Then there's the string of robberies aided by the use of the ironically named lure. And while I do hate to see cases of fellow gamers finding misfortune, there is one thing to keep in mind.

Aside from keeping a lawyer on retainer.

As of July 13, there were an estimated 21 million active Pokemon GO users each day. That number is literally unfathomable. Compared to that, the percentage of people finding themselves in real trouble is incredibly slim. So yes, while it is smart to remember to be alert while chasing down a Ghastly, there's no need to fear actual injury. Statistically, the worst you're going to get is super annoyed by all the videos on your Facebook feed.
