We Happy Few Delayed Until Summer 2018

Wow what a surprise.

The wait for We Happy Few, the disconcertingly cheery survival horror game, has left people growing anxious. This feeling will only amplify further now with the announcement of another delay.

Developer Compulsion Games released a video today explaining why they are extending the release until this summer, while also giving fans a tease for another character.

The player takes control of a man named Arthur in We Happy Few. You are in a 1960s U.K. town where all of its citizens are under the effects of a happiness-inducing drug called "Joy." When you don't take this drug, you see the world the way it really is, but your neighbors don't take too kindly to your insubordination.

The game was first seen as a Kickstarter campaign back in 2015. It would eventually be added to Steam and Xbox's official Early Access programs.

The full game will feature 3 narrative campaigns. The first one is of the already known Arthur. Compulsion Games reveal the second character at the end of their video, a woman named Sally that seems to have an association with Arthur.

We Happy Few will be releasing "Summer 2018" instead of in March, as previously planned.
