I'm going to start this off by saying that I'm a huge Gears of War fan, but I was extremely disappointed in the release of Judgment. Epic Games changed everything about the Gears of War series when Judgment was released, however, I'm extremely excited for Gears of War 4. The official launch trailer for the game was released today and the game looks absolutely amazing. I might be a little bit biased, but this title doesn't look like it's going to disappoint fans at all.

You play as JD Fenix, the son of Marcus Fenix from the original games. JD along with his friends, Del and Kait, are now fighting off the huge swarms of Horde that plague the land. In the trailer, you can even see that Marcus gets in on some of the action. He doesn't look like he's holding up too well, but I think the old dog still has some fight in him. If seeing Marcus in a choke hold isn't enough to get you pumped up a little bit, maybe the most well-known "Woo!" in video game history from the Cole Train will be. I'm really upset that Marcus and Cole were shown in the trailer, but I didn't get to see my favorite Delta Squad member, Baird. Hopefully he'll make a flashy appearance at some point in the game, probably locked and loaded with a very sarcastic comment to make. Either way, Gears of War 4 is set to launch on October 11th, and will be available on Xbox and Windows 10. If you happened to get the Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition, your Gears experience will begin on October 7th, and if you're a fan of Xbox Play Anywhere, you can swap seamlessly from Xbox to Windows and pick up the game right where you left off.
