It's surprisingly smooth.

You lived a life of battle and glory. You deserve to live the afterlife to the fullest! And what a more immersive way to do that than in VR? One modder has implemented VR support for the popular survival combat game Valheim.

Developed by community modder Brandon Mousseau, VHVR is exactly what is says it is, Valheim in Virtual Reality. The mod utilizes Unity, SteamVR, and OpenVR to establish compatibility with the game.

Theres only one requirement: the BepInExPack for Valheim. This is a mod tool that allows modders to inject their code into Unity games. This is a common requirement for many Unity game mods. The mod should work on any headset that supports OpenVR, such as the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Valve Index.

Currently, the game mod still requires a controller or keyboard/mouse to play. Though full motion controller support is currently expected in future updates.

I am, and forever will be, a sucker for VR in games. So seeing VR support added to a new trend like Valheim is great news to me. We just wonder how this affects the games performance abilities.

For more information about the mod, visit the official Nexus Mod page. Its free to download and install.
