A new operator is a cause for celebration for Rainbow Six: Siege fans. So what a better time to reveal a new one than during E3? Introducing Thunderbird, a new defensive operator.

The character was revealed during the Ubisoft Forward presentation on Saturday. The animated video, called North Star, gave a beautiful and dramatic introduction to the character.

The video begins with two women lost in the wilderness after some kind of accident. One had an injured foot, who rested in a downed helicopter while the other attempted mechanical repairs. Not long later, the second woman was attacked by a wild grizzly bear. After the bear went for the injured woman, the second woman distracted it and points at it with a flare gun. Cut to present day, when someone being told the story asks if she survived, only to discover the woman is arriving on scene in a helicopter.

Of course, the common joke among the community is that the bear should be the NEXT operator.

Thunderbird will join the Rainbow Six: Siege crew as part of Team Nomad when the North Star update and event kicks off on June 14.
