The ever-growing trend of video game live streaming grows further. To help facilitate this growth, Twitch.tv has announced their own streaming software: Twitch Studio.

Currently in the beta phase, Twitch Studio is the platform's own take on how to start streaming. The application was built with a focus on making the streaming process easier for newcomers. It features a step by step setup guide while handling some of the more complicated bits in the background.

The streaming company has no intention of trying to be a catch-all solution, either. They event clarify in their FAQ section that those comfortable and experienced with streaming should stick to their current setup.

"Twitch Studios current set of features were selected to specifically meet the needs of new streamers: those who have just started streaming or are interested in streaming for the first time.
. . .
Twitch Studio helps new streamers with the setup and customization of their stream. If you are an existing streamer, you are likely satisfied with your current stream and equipment setup so theres no need to switch. You are still welcome to try the Twitch Studio beta and provide feedback that can help us shape the future of the app."

Currently, only those invited to participate in the beta will be given access to the software. You can sign up for the beta on the official webpage. New invitations are sent out weekly as they continue to develop the platform.

This announcement comes shortly after popular Fortnite livestreamer Ninja revealed that he is leaving Twitch to stream exclusively on Mixer, Microsoft's livestream platform. This brought a wave of converts over and this might be Twitch's way of recovering.
