Dust off your mini-figures and oil up your rifles. After 10 years, the popular Xbox Live Arcade game Toy Soldiers returns with a sequel. And this time, it's taking place during World War 2. Introducing Toy Soldiers 2: Finest Hour.

Toy Soldiers, developed by Signal Studios, originally released on the Xbox Live Arcade in 2010. The action tower defense game took place during World War 1, or at least a miniaturized, plastic version. The player manages armies of small toy soldiers, in combination with artillery, tanks, planes, and more.

Little else about the game is known in detail at this time. Expected to launch on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, it's currently marked for a 2021 release date.

In the meantime, the team is also remastering their previous games, Toy Soldiers and the spin-off, Toy Soldiers: Cold War. These versions will take the original games, as well as their DLC, and revamp them for modern consoles. They will also get additional content, a new difficulty mode, and a number of smaller tweaks. The HD releases will be available later this year.
