Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 Remakes in Development, Insiders Claim

Grab your board and break out the Blink-182, rumors of a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater return are beginning to surface.

According to Sabi, trusted games insider, a source at Activision told them about a Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 being developed internally. This information was later corroborated by folks like Liam Roberston, whose known for uncovering video game secrets.

"Explanation of what I shared in my server: An Activision contact told me a week or so ago about how Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 had demos/prototypes remade. They went around internally. I didn't share before as I wasn't sure if they were being remade as full games or just a test

I shared this info with just a few people, such as @GenosPapa. Interestingly, Liam Robertson just mentioned this info in his podcast, seemingly corroborating the info. Nobody seems to know if both games are being fully remade, or if it's just a test for something else."

We're reaching a phase where modern remakes of classic games are proven popular successes, with games like Halo and Call of Duty reaching record-breaking sales from remaking and remastering classic titles like Halo Reach and Modern Warfare. It would make absolute sense that a modern quality remake of the Tony Hawk games would do fantastically.

This would also help revive the franchise. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater hasn't seen much love or attention since the closure of Neversoft and the franchise was taken over by Robomodo in 2009.

But the unfortunate truth is this: there's still no guarantee. All we have so far are internal reports, none of which can confirm if they're anything more than development tests. This could very well be development toward a different game. The project could even be shut down before its made public. The only way we'll know is with time.

We just hope it still has a classic soundtrack.
