In a press release by Nintendo, the major game publisher/developer announced today that 3 new titles will be joining the Nintendo Selects Library. On February 3, Super Mario 3D Land, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and Ultimate NES Remix will be re-releasing these titles for $19.99.

The Nintendo Selects library is a collection of Nintendo games that were considered top of their class and deserving of recognition. Some games in the library include Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Kirby: Triple Deluxe (both of which I can personally attest towards their claim). A Nintendo Selects game has a suggested retail price of $19.99 as well, a permanent 50 percent discount on their original price.

Doug Bowser, Nintendo of Americas Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. had this to say:

For people that received a Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 2DS system as a holiday gift, these three games are ideal ways to start their gaming library. We're excited to offer these must-have games for a new, low price.

Super Mario 3D Land is a good example of what makes the classic Nintendo style so satisfying. This platformer has you experience both 2D and 3D levels as Mario, once again off to best Bowser (the antagonist, not the man we quoted above).

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds received massive acclaim upon release. It took the nostalgic world of A Link to the Past and reinvented it with modern graphics and a refreshing design.

Ultimate NES Remix was an unexpected addition. For those who haven't seen the game, imagine taking a number of classic NES games, and swapping parts out between them. How would Kirby fair in the first level of Mario? What if Little Mac had to box Ganon? This game lets you do that.

This is fantastic news for any 3DS owners that may have missed out on these games when they first released.
