The Tomorrow Children E3 Trailer Reveals a Town Run By Children

Though cute, I have to admit it creeps me out a little.

We've read and watched plots of children running a village unfold, provoking the thoughts of, "What is it like to run a village with just children?"

Well, players wishing to know the answer may want to check out Q-Games' sandbox adventure construction game, The Tomorrow Children. During E3, the developers presented the official trailer, of which you can watch below:

Within The Tomorrow Children, players must govern a town run entirely by children, which eventually expands to the world.

The trailer presents a rather toy/clay/plastic aesthetic, and you seem to build the town entirely from scratch, but eventually you can build shops, facilities and even homes. The environment itself gives off an aura that personally creeps me out, but it does look quite fun and thoroughly customizable. I mean, you can create a turret to shoot invaders down!

Referring to the official description of the indie title:

The Tomorrow Children is the story of a future re-imagined from the after-effects of an experiment in 1960s Russia. In an attempt to ‘sublime’ the human race by melding all human minds into one global consciousness, the entire human race is decimated by the unsuccessful experiment. They have created you, the player, as a ‘projection clone’. Venture into ‘The Void’ to reclaim the human race and restore it to its former glory!

You can purchase The Tomorrow Children this fall, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
