We’ve been spending a lot of time, as of late, talking about EA. It’s not because I’m especially enamored with them, but gosh darn it, they’re the ones doing stuff so far this year, so yeah I’m going to report on it. I mean, I guess Nintendo is kind of doing stuff, but they’re being reserved until the Switch gets revealed more publically, and Sony and Microsoft are still in their holiday doldrums, I guess. So, more EA stuff. And wouldn’t you know it, EA is the publisher behind the famous and somehow still relevant life simulator, The Sims 4!

What’s more, a new game pack has been announced for the game, one that’s a far cry different from introducing office jobs and swimming pools: this one adds Vampires!

Yeah, yeah, let’s make our “suck” jokes now and get them out of the way.

Forgotten Hollow is the new World coming in the The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack. It's completely different to previous The Sims 4 worlds, and makes a great place for a Vampire to live as night-time lasts long here. There's one block, with five lots, all centered around a plaza area dedicated to Vlad, the founding Vampire of Forgotten Hollow. You'll notice that this World looks and feels totally different to the others in The Sims 4, with creeping fog and a lot of withered, old foliage. We wanted this to feel like a centuries-old neighborhood with history and secrets, so there's also some great Build & Buy Mode objects to help you create your perfect Vampire home.

The price and release date are currently unknown, but it’ll be revealed in the coming two weeks. However, if previous expansions were anything to go by, it won’t be cheap. Which, you know… sucks.

Still, you can’t deny it’s different. And that’s good.
