All stories of great pirates eventually make their way to the Sea of Thieves. Even those you never expected. Get ready for the Pirates of the Caribbean to surface from the strange waters of the multiplayer pirating game.

Announced during the Xbox Bethesda E3 showcase, the world of the Pirates of the Caribbean film universe are coming to Sea of Thieves, bringing new enemies, stories, and characters with it, including Jack Sparrow himself.

The story appears to begin with the rescue of acclaimed pirate Jack Sparrow. Through his influence, players will encounter Barbosa, a league of aggressive mermaid creatures, and even Davy Jones himself. Expect a lengthy new campaign taking the player all sorts of new places.

All of this will be available as a free update to Sea of Thieves called A Pirates Life. The update will release on June 22, 2021. Sea of Thieves is also on Xbox Game Pass.
