The latest report from SuperData shows that April had a significant increase in digital game sales compared to the usual amount, largely attributed to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Overwatch (because of its one year anniversary most likely). The report showed that digital games sales in April increased by 9% year-over-year to $7.7 billion. Both mobile and free-to-play game revenue significantly increased as well (8% and 27%).

Battlefield 1 and Fifa 2017 dominated console revenue for the month of April and both Tom Clancy's: Ghost Recon Wildlands and Mass Effect: Andromeda saw large declines in digital revenue, most likely due to poor reviews. On PC, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds continues to thrive, making an estimated $34 million in the month of April, and Overwatch also reached a new high point for microtransaction revenue.
