We've been waiting a long time for Steven Spielberg's live-action Halo TV series, and although we still don't have an official release date, we have at least received an update from Microsoft. Microsoft and 343 Industries have recently issued a statement, confirming that the series is indeed still in development even though there has been radio silence for quite some time.

"Progress on the Halo Television Series continues. We want to ensure were doing this the right way together with a team of creative partners (Steven Spielberg and Showtime) that can help us build the best Halo series that fans expect and deserve. We have no further details to share at this time."

The Halo TV series, which is going to be airing on Xbox One and Showtime television, was originally expected to release around the same time as Halo 5: Guardians, but clearly that wasn't the case. Microsoft and 343 have assured us that they are working on making the live-action Halo series the best that it can be, and as such, we can also expect some more radio silence ahead of us.
