Ubisoft did a good job at E3 this year, I feel, as the trailers and gameplay videos they put up did an excellent job of making us forget how horrible their track record is with these kinds of things. You know--games. Still, of all the open-world games they're making, there's one open-world game they announced that really stood out from the rest.

Introducing an open-world snowboarding game... Steep!

Defy and master the world’s most epic mountains on skis, wingsuit, snowboard, and in paraglide. Go solo or drop in side by side with other players. Record and share the most insane stunts ever captured. Dare your friends to try out your custom lines, then challenge the world to beat your best tricks and relive your most epic wipeouts. The mountain is yours to explore. So strap in, suit up, and drop in.

Now, "open world sports game" sounds like a fun idea, and it's been executed well in games like Skate, but... this is Ubisoft we're talking about, and all the hilarious glitches you know and love from Skate will likely be threefold in Steep. Which... I guess is both good AND bad. They'll be funnier than The Division glitches we keep running into, that's for sure.

We'll see how hilarious it turns out to be this winter.
