Soulja Boy - remember him?
Okay, if you don't, we all would understand.
The rapper-turned-meme has recently just released two game consoles, "SouljaGame Console" and "SouljaGame Handheld."
Let that sink in for a moment.
Either way, each come with 800 and 3000 built-in games, respectively. The console offers PlayStation, NeoGeo, PC, SEGA, GameBoy Advance, and Nintendo, whereas the handle includes GBA, FC, SEGA, GBC and more.
Yeah, both of these products run Linux, by the way, and one of them suspiciously looks like a cross between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
As for the price? Well, apparently the MSRP is $199.99 for the console, but you can currently purchase this... valid item for $149.99.
The SouljaGame Handheld is currently $99.99, 50 percent off its supposed MSRP of $199.99.
Yeah, something tells me that not only are these products a complete and utter ripoff, but they also feature games that haven't been used with permission. For one, these consoles were the exact creations from Anbernic, known for their knockoff consoles on AliExpress. The console? You can find that on AliExpress for $105.99. And the handheld? $79.99 maximum. And two, SouljaBoy either was granted permission for the licenses or he is selling pirated games.
The latter is more likely.
So yeah, complete and utter scam, no matter how you look at it.
...This is just a lawsuit waiting to happen.
