Shadow Heroes gains Onslaught Mode

Sounds intimidating already.

Shadow Heroes: Vengeance in Flames is a fast paced defense game that developers call a "tug-of-war." Though the game is still listed as Early Access, a brand new mode has been added. Onslaught Mode gives players a rough and tumble survival mode with no real way out. The only goal is to last as long as possible. As typical, each wave of enemies is harder than the last, but luckily, players will gain the help of powerful items every 5 waves. These will also scale in quality as the game mode progresses.

Looks pretty nifty for a game I hadn't heard about lately.

Steam is notorious for having a collection of poorly received games on Early Access. Shadow Heroes, though, has managed to keep a "Mostly Positive" rating. The game allows players to use a plethora of characters, items, and tactics to come out on top. The most advertised feature of this RTS game is the lack of resource management. There are no materials to gather. There are no abilities to research. It's all based on keeping up the action and making the genre more straightforward for newcomers. So if you've been interested in RTS games in the past, but have been overwhelmed with all the flashy features, maybe Shadow Heroes is the game you need to check out next.
