Serious Sam has been around for quite some time, but we've never had the option to look at a skill tree. Well, complain no longer fans of the game. We are finally seeing some big changes to Serious Sam VR, including a brand new skill tree and weapon power-ups. Did you think that you already had enough ways to slaughter all of your enemies? Too bad for you, because now we have plenty more.

With the update to the game, you can now purchase passive and active abilities from the shop alongside your guns and ammunition. In order to get these abilities, you must accumulate points by completing planets. The more difficult the planet, the more points you get. It's a fairly standard system that doesn't need that much explaining.

To get into the abilities, you can have orbital lasers, new plasma cannons, skills that let you slow down time or even create a giant army of spiders to kill enemies. You also have the option to attempt perfect runs to upgrade weapons. You can get one weapon upgrade for each planet you're able to conquer on every single difficulty level. This update is live right now. Get playing you slaughter machines.
