Scott Cawthon Releasing FNAF 6 Soon, Probably

Calling it now.

It’s been a while since we heard from everyone’s favorite shill of YouTube bait, Scott Cawthon. While he’s still riding relatively high off the release of FNAF: Sister Location, it’s worth noting that it’s been more than a year since that particular game released. That’s one year without Scott putting out a game, which I don’t think has ever happened before.

It would have made enough sense: his last “tease” was that the game had been canceled, but let’s face it, this is Scott Cawthon talking. That just means he’s trying to throw us off-balance for when the game shows up unannounced on the Steam storefront. But in the meantime, he recently posted over on Steam that he doesn’t want the year to end without releasing something to his adoring fans: he’s like Assassin’s Creed that way.

“In game-related news, I REFUSE to let an entire year go by without a game release, so I'm putting together something fun for all of you for the holidays. I'm not sure if I'll release it on Steam or Gamejolt yet, but I'll let you know. Hopefully it won't take much longer to wrap it up.”

What is that something?

Well, if you pop by ScottGames.com, which is typically where he shares the latest teasers and toys for his fans to dissect, there’s a new image of an 8-bit Freddy tossing pizzas at smiling children.

So yeah, Five Nights at Freddy’s 6 is coming soon.

I know that’s not what he said, and people are speculating that it’s going to be some kind of cheap pizzeria simulator. And that’s fine, that’s swell, but no. It’s FNAF 6. I will hold onto that belief firmly until the game is out and beaten in its entirety, because if I know Scott (and history says I do), he’s not just going to release a little one-shot to cap off the year. He’s Mr. Go Big or Go Home, and I don’t think he’s ready to go home just yet.

So yeah. Get ready for Freddy folks.
