Resident Evil 4 VR Official Release Date Revealed

Theres no time to waste, the Presidents daughter is missing and you need to find her. Or you will soon. An official release date for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 VR game has been revealed.

According to a new gameplay trailer from Oculus, Resident Evil 4 VR will release exclusively on the Oculus Quest 2 on October 21, 2021.



The upcoming survival horror game will follow the same story, mechanics, and environment as the source material, while implementing some new methods to make VR a smooth and enjoyable experience. This includes the ability to equip items by grabbing them directly off of the body instead of opening the menu to select them. The various game puzzles have also been modified to flow with a VR environment.

Resident Evil has been seeing a new wave of interest. With the smash success of both the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes and the recently released Resident Evil: Village, the franchise is reaching a new level of popularity. Resident Evil 4 is often considered one of the most beloved iterations on the series. And with the popularity of the recent remakes, countless fans are hoping to see a modern remake of RE4. While this isnt exactly what we had in mind, we love the idea, all the same.

Resident Evil 4 VR will be exclusively available on the Oculus Quest 2 store on October 21, 2021.
