Excitement grows for the Resident Evil 3 remake currently in production at Capcom. But you don't have to wait until release to get a taste. A demo of the game will be releasing later this week, on March 19, 2020.

This information comes from Kellen Haney, the Social & Community manager at Capcom USA, in a post on the Capcom website. They explain that the demo will feature a segment of the full game, but will reflect the overall excitement and action that we can expect from the main game.

Resident Evil 3 originally released in 1999 as Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It follows the efforts of Jill Valentine as she tries to escape from a now zombie-infested Racoon City. But no matter where she runs, an unstoppable entity known as the Nemesis is hunting her down.

Kellen explained that the Resident Evil 3 remake will be more action-oriented than the last game, the player still needs to be careful with their weapons. Scarce ammunition and items will force the player to carefully consider when to shoot and when to run.

It's not the only game getting an early tease. Kellen also revealed that the upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, Resident Evil Resistance, will be getting an open beta later this month. This will be the first public look at the game since its reveal. That will be kicking off on March 27.

Currently, both the demo and the Resistance beta are assumed to be available for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam PC, since specific platforms were not mentioned.

Resident Evil 3 Remake will release fully on April 3, 2020.
