Pokemon Mega Bloks Sure Are Something

That's both a good and bad thing.

If you were wanting a sweet Pokemon series of Legos, then I have some awkward news for you. Sure, you can still try to mix and match bricks to build your own Pokemon, but officially licensed Pokemon aren't making their way to Lego. Instead, Mega Bloks has picked up the franchise. In an attempt to more fully round out their video game pantheon, Pokemon is joining the ranks of games like Halo and Destiny.

And to tell you the truth, they look -um- unique, to say the least.

Given, it's not exactly easy to expertly craft Pokemon in Mega Bloks. Also, a lot of the Pokemon look just fine. But the same can't be said for most of them. There are definitely some creative choices Mega Bloks made in order to get the models down. Regardless, they definitely seem fun to play with. I know I'll keep my eyes open for them coming up soon. In the meantime, if you want to get a closer look at some of the new toys, check out this Kotaku article.
