Don't worry everyone, Paul Coleman, lead designer on DiRT Rally, does want to bring the realistic rally racer to consoles. In an interview with Red Bull, Coleman spoke of the future of the franchise, and mentioned that he wants to see a console release.

"Ultimately I want players who invested in consoles rather than PCs to be able to experience this game first hand."

The game is in Early Access on Steam, but after launch, Coleman is confident the team will be "curating a console experience from the content," taking what they've learned from the community during the Early Access period. So we can be pretty sure that we will see the game on consoles sometime after the full release. The interview also delves into the creation of the game, the details of the tracks and co-driver calls, and the expansion of modes like championship mode.

DiRT Rally can be purchased on Steam for $34.99. If you'd like to know a bit more about the game, you can check out our Early Access Review.
