It is that time! The time of release for FFXV's and Type-0 HD's newest patch. Whereas Type-0 HD's patch is only a measly 12 MB, FFXV's Episode Duscae Version 2.0 (or 1.02) is gargantuan, requiring 3.4 GB of your hard drive.

Here is what you can find in the Patch 1.01 notes of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD:
  • Reduced motion blur effect.
  • Improved camera controls while moving.
  • Fixed various other issues.
If you view the update history for Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae, version 1.02 includes the following changes:
  • New features in quests and combat
  • Improved camera and animations
  • Various bug fixes
According to that same file, "saved games must be updated to work with the current version of the demo," and "updated games will not work on the former version of the demo."

To update your save files, you only need to hit continue and choose to update the file you highlight. Really simple. Unfortunately, the screen doesn't provide an in-depth list of changes, but luckily, we have been able to locate the full list:
  • Added cooperation attacks that come from ally suggestions.
  • Guarding just before being hit by an enemy attack will no longer consume MP.
  • Evasive maneuver has been changed into a dodge roll, no longer consumes MP, can be shifted into from various actions.
  • Pressing the left stick during a consecutive attack will change the attack movement.
  • You can now charge great sword attacks by holding down the button.
  • The shift (warp) command has been changed into a long Circle button hold. If you hold Circle for a short period, you'll perform a mid-range shift.
  • The areas you can warp to have been greatly increased.
  • Attack power, MP consumption, and more have been adjusted.
  • Camera turning speed and acceleration has been improved. The lock-on tracking has been improved, and target-switching has been simplified.
  • Camera can now be moved down during combat.
  • Party AI has been improved.
  • "Individual action quests" that are suggested by party members has been added.
  • The Catoblepas monster by the lake can now be fought.
V2 of this update has already been released, so it's about time to hop on and check out the changes, isn't it?
