Hello Games has been through quite a journey since the initial release of No Man's Sky just last year. After being branded as a AAA title, fans were quickly upset and disappointed, then they started to realize their expectations were just too high. Since then, some players have actually stuck with the game, and Hello Games has surprisingly significantly improved it.

Now, update 1.3 for No Man's Sky, deemed "Atlas Rises" is due to launch sometime this week. The patch notes will only be available after the update is live, but so far, we do know that they are adding a portal system for fast traveling between locations, and they are also improving and expanding upon the overall story of the game, which is a huge plus if you've played the game at all.

"Update 1.3 will release this week and will be available for free to all No Mans Sky players. Were calling it Atlas Rises. It focuses on improving the central story of No Mans Sky and adds the ability to quick travel between locations using portals. Patch notes will be made available shortly before the update goes live."

If you managed to avoid the overwhelming hype surrounding No Man's Sky last year, then now is pretty much the best time to buy it, if you can grab it for a discount that is. No Man's Sky has definitely come a long way since it launched last year, and it's not as horrible anymore as everyone deemed it to be back then.
