Being nice to people sounds like a given, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be rewarded. And with the national Random Act of Kindness Day coming up, what better way to promote kindness than with Kirby? Nintendo announced in a press release that Kirby will be doing more than just demoing at this year's Emerald City Comic Con, he'll be on the prowl for acts of kindness.

At the official Nintendo booth at Emerald City Comic Con, gamers will be able to play the upcoming Kirby Star Allies game before its launch on Nintendo Switch on March 16. Players are able to turn their enemies into friends in this new iteration, forming a squad of pals to help fight.

Here's the wholesome part: Roaming Nintendo reps that see people doing something nice will be given a chance to win various Kirby themed gifts. This can be holding doors, picking up litter, and whatever else makes these reps smile. More than that, these reps will also be going to bored con-goers stuck in line and offering them the chance to play Kirby Star Allies in the Switch's handheld mode.

Cindy Gordon, Nintendo of Americas Vice President of Strategic Communications, had this to say.

Many of our classic characters are heroes in numerous ways, but Kirby epitomizes what its like to be powerful, but also kind. While we love bringing our games directly to fans at events like this, we wanted to do something a little different this time to show that teamwork and kindness are two of the most powerful forces around.

Emerald City Comic Con runs March 1-4 at the Washington State Convention Center at 705 Pike St., Seattle, WA 98101. For Comic Con hours and more information, visit their website.
