Nintendo Switch Does Not Feature Removable Battery

Hopefully battery issues won't surface often.

The Nintendo Switch has remained a target for a couple of weeks now, ever since its official full unveiling. We've learned about the Switch's lineup, but today, we've also received word on the Switch's specifications. More importantly, Nintendo will be offering a paid-for replacement service for batteries via Nintendo Customer Support.

Why? Because of this little statement:

"Please note: the internal battery cannot be removed. If the battery needs to be replaced, we plan to offer paid replacement via Nintendo Customer Support."

In other words and unlike the 3DS, the battery cannot be removed. You'll be forced to ship off the console. A bit of a pain in the behind, but well, what is done is done.
