The Nintendo Direct, after some delay, was broadcast Thursday evening. And what better way to start it off than with a new video game reveal! Nintendo has unveiled Luigi's Mansion 3!

The trailer shows off a combination of cinematics and gameplay for the upcoming Switch title. Instead of a homely mansion, it appears to take place inside of a haunted hotel of sorts. Mario's luggage can be seen in all of its red glory at the entrance, but Luigi's poor brother is nowhere to be seen.

We also notice a new, plunger-firing weapon. This tool has never appeared in a Luigi's Mansion game, but it was used in the Super Smash Bros Ultimate trailer for Simon Belmont. This is the only "new" aspect of the game clearly displayed in the trailer.

Luigi's Mansion 3, currently a working title, will release some time in 2019.
