Earlier today, Ubisoft announced that some new versions of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege will be made available soon. These new additions are to celebrate the coming of the third year of the game and all the content they have provided since release. It's incredible that a game, which had a slow start, can grow and still have a strong presence in the FPS world. The new editions of the game are an Advanced, Gold, and Complete. Players wanting to jump into this exciting FPS full of strategy (and especially window peaking) can purchase the new editions starting February 13, or if they just can't wait, they can buy the current editions now.

Additionally, Ubisoft announced a new event, the Outbreak Event will introduce new battle packs that you can earn to earn special cosmetic items for a limited time. Rainbow Six recently introduced a loot system to Siege, but it is only cosmetic loot and nothing that directly affects gameplay.

The details for each new edition are listed below. Keep in mind that all of these are available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC:

Advanced Edition
  • All maps and modes
  • 600 bonus Rainbow Six Credits
  • 10 Outbreak Collector Packs
Gold Edition
  • All maps and modes
  • 600 bonus Rainbow Six Credits
  • 10 Outbreak Collector Packs
  • Year 3 Pass
Complete Edition
  • All maps and modes
  • 600 bonus Rainbow Six Credits
  • 10 Outbreak Collector Packs
  • Year 3 Pass
  • ALL Year 1 and Year 2 operators
I don't know about you guys, but that Complete Edition sounds pretty enticing to me. Being an avid Siege player, I highly recommend getting every available operator when you purchase the game, as it opens up so many possibilities and strategies that would otherwise take a very long time to purchase with in-game credits. Season 1 for Year 3 will be revealed at the Six Invitational 2018 starting February 13th and will be going through the 18th.
