Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition Announced for PC

Neverwinter Nights, developed by a studio of previous Bioware developers, will be receiving a special "enhanced" version.

When we say enhanced, we don't mean new models or textures. The game will still retain its low-poly look it was born with when it released in 2002. The enhanced portion of this version consists of better UI scaling for 4K resolution, as well as some additional effects like depth-of-field, pixel shaders, and post-processing.

Coming to PC, Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition is the base game, as well as the Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of the Underdark, Pirates of the Sword Coast, Infinite Dungeons, and Wyvern Crown of Cormyr expansions. They also throw in two soundtracks to top the bundle off.

The game will be priced at $20 on release, but there isn't an official release date as of yet. Fortunately, any old save files will still be compatible with this version of the game, in case you feel like dusting those off once more.

Developers Beamdog has re-released past games with minor changes in the past, so this is by no means a surprising decision on their part. If you're looking for a reason to try out a game as old as the Halo franchise itself, this is the best chance you'll get.
