NeatherRealm's Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 3 Announced

With a twist.

It seems like just yesterday when the Season 2 Fighter Pack was announced. The Hellboy announcement wasn't actually that long ago. Neatherrealm Studios has kept the momentum in full with the release of a new YouTube trailer for Injustice 2's Fighter Pack 3. While the first two new fighters are about what you'd expect, the third sure threw me and many others for a curveball.

The video (which can be seen below) starts off with the fighters from the previous fighter pack being defeated by an unknown entity when an explosion from the fight burst the wall out. Out jumps The Atom! The first new fighter is the popular hero capable of jumping from lifesize to molecular to fight his foes.

When he leaves the burning building, he encounters a young girl who is quickly overtaken by magical energy. The second fighter is The Enchantress! She wields her magic in a way that honestly reminded me of Ermac in the Mortal Kombat series.

Just as they were about to duke it out, they are interrupted by a stray sai. A single, trenchcoat-clad stranger remarks that this looked fun and would like to join. Upon disrobing who do we see but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the 3rd fighter.

This one came as a considerable surprise to me. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are far from the serious tones of the Injustice games. This will be the Turtle's first time in a major DC publication. The original TMNT comic was written as a parody of popular Marvel comics in the '80s such as Daredevil and New Mutants.

Atom will be available to early access member on December 12. These characters and all the previous one will be a part of the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition. Injustice 2 will be coming to PC November 4.
