When Super Bomberman R came out, it had drawn our attention by including unexpected characters like Master Chief, P-Body, and Ratchet for their respective consoles' versions. Now they've added four more characters, all equally unexpected.

Solid Snake, Naked Snake, and Raiden, of Metal Gear Solid fame, will be part of Bomberman's already explosive roster. The three have been re-imagined in the appropriate chibi-style of the game. They also come with a tiny version of mother base as a playable stage.

Though they're keeping things a touch authentic still. David Hayter, the original voice actor for both Snakes, will be reprising his role for the Bomberman variants.

The update concludes with a weapon to surpass metal gear: American Wrestler Xavier Woods. Woods will not only be a part of the Bomberman universe now, the character will be voiced by the man himself. While certainly an unexpected inclusion, it's certainly a welcome one.

These new characters are available now in Super Bomberman R for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
