For those who have somehow never played any of the main numbered Mega Man titles - and I'm one of them, don't ask - Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will be heading to the Switch. However, it is now that we have a release date! Hooray!

Anyway, Nintendo Switch owners will be able to buy Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, bringing you a total of 10 Mega Man games, all in one package. The collection will be released digitally and at retail, according to Capcom.

The eShop release of Mega Man Legacy Collection will cost $14.99, and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will be priced at $19.99, meaning you'll pay $35. However, if you want a physical edition, it will be a little more - $39.99 to be exact - and the first collection will be on the game card, though you'll have to download the game (with the provided download code) for Collection 2.

In addition to the base Mega Man games, you'll be able to access a challenge mode with remixed stages and online leaderboards, a sound mode that lets players listen to the games' music, and a museum mode, featuring "a plethora of rare and insightful development archives." Furthermore, Capcom has added amiibo compatibility:

"If you have a regular or golden Mega Man amiibo, you'll also gain access to eleven additional fan-made challenges [in Mega Man Legacy Collection] previously exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version of the game and now making their console debut on Nintendo Switch."

Furthermore, there will be new challenges available for unlocking with Amiibo in Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will launch on May 22, 2018, for the Nintendo Switch.
