With the PlayStation Experience having begun, Capcom kickstarted the hype with another trailer for Monster Hunter: World. The trailer (seen above) shows off your standard experience, mixing gameplay and cutscenes. What really has people's attention is the adorable cameo at the end, Mega Man.

The palico cats have been longtime companions to the player, assisting them in combat when friends are unable to. In Monster Hunter: World they will be able to dress up as a blocky little 8-bit Mega Man, drinking Energy Tanks. This bonus extends as far as the music of the game. Classic Mega Man music will play as you fight, the tune depending on what weapon the player chooses to wield.

This is most likely a promotional effort towards the recently announced Mega Man game, Mega Man 11, due to release late of next year. Much last with Monster Hunter 4, when players could dress up their cat friends to look like Isabelle and Tom Nook, of Animal Crossing Fame.

PlayStation 4 owners who subscribe to PlayStation Plus can play a limited time demo of the title starting today and going until Tuesday at noon.

Monster Hunter: World is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 26, 2018, with a PC version on the way.
