Controversy has struck again in the world of video game YouTubers. Matthew "Caff" Meredith has been dropped by The Yogscast after a number of sexual harassment allegations came to light.

The Yogscast, best known for a series of Minecraft Let's Play videos, is a collection of online content creators. In a report by James Batchelor, Matthew Meredith, also known as Caff, was exposed by his mod team for having used his position of influence to sexually solicit female members of the community.

The information came to light when Caffcast Discord moderator Mighty Claw issued a statement to all Discord members. They explained that eight different members, including other Caff staff, have proof that Caff was sexually harassing them over time.

"Corroborated and proven evidence has come to light that shows that Caff has been abusing his position as a content creator for the last 3 years to pursue sexual relationships with those he has power and influence over, using his position as a point of coercion and control."

They also expand to say how Caff would pressure them to accept new female mods to the team that seemed unqualified, with the purpose of later predation and grooming. Caff is also secretly in a six-year relationship with his girlfriend, which they had asked mods who knew to keep it out of the public eye. As a result, Caff's entire mod team has left.

In a statement by Yogscast CEO Mark Turpin on Reddit, the organization is dropping Caff entirely from their brand and business for these actions.

"As you know, the Yogscast expects the highest levels of professionalism from its talent and that it is central to the company and its ethos that our fans and community are considered first. Having reviewed the evidence and carefully considered this situation, we have concluded that Caff's conduct is a material breach of our talent agreements and code of conduct that results in us terminating his relationship with the Yogscast effective immediately."

At this time, Caff's Twitter appears to have closed.

It has been almost two whole months without a sexual harassment scandal in the video game industry.
