Last One Standing: The Battle Royale Board Game

It looks a lot like Fortnite.

Everyone seems to be getting in on the battle royale craze, even tabletop games. Last One Standing: The Battle Royale Board Game has appeared on Kickstarter, brandishing a rather similar style to the current industry leader, Fortnite.

Last One Standing: The Battle Royale Board Game is fairly straightforward to anyone familiar with the genre. Two to eight players land onto a modular game board, where they gather gear, weapons as they fight against each other. Characters have inventories to manage, displayed in the form of cards and color-coded sideboards. It even has PUBG nods, such as random artillery strikes.

The Kickstarter for the game is asking for $18,706, with pledge goals starting at $40 pledges. Having already funded $8,000 with 28 days remaining, we can assume that they'll meet their goal.

Even those not into video games might enjoy this interesting take on the genre. Perhaps you'll be the hero of the day at your next game night. You'll bring it again next week but no one will feel like playing again, and it'll sit on the top shelf of your hall closet for a few years due to the ever moving nature of entertainment. Regardless, the pledge option is there.
