So, I want to start off by saying that the trailer for this game gave me chills. I read a little bit about the storyline before viewing the trailer, and I highly recommend you finish these paragraphs before you scroll down yourself. Now, this indie game is being developed by 505 Games and it is going to take you on an emotional journey.

In Last Day of June, you play as a man named Carl. The first thing you will notice about the trailer is the beauty of the world and the lack of detail on the characters' faces. To me, this symbolizes people as a whole. You aren't playing as Carl, the guy with the scar under his green eyes. The man with the beard. You are playing as a human, as the story speaks to each and every one of us in a different way.

In the game, you lose your wife, June. I originally thought this was going to be a very happy game about summertime fun, or something stupid like that. Nope. Last Day of June is talking about the last day you will ever see your wife. She dies in a car crash and Carl is constantly wishing that he could get her back. Carl then realizes that he can travel back in time and try to change his destiny.

What does that mean? Can we get her back? Do our choices influence the game? Can we screw everything up and never get our wife back? I have no idea, but I'm seriously so excited to play this game. I've seen many, many trailers in my life and very few have ever made me feel something. This was one of them.

God, this is why I absolutely love the indie genre.
