It's a spin-off and it looks so good.

There’s a better-than-good chance, if you’re a fan of isometric RPGs, that you played and enjoyed the hell out of Divinity Original Sin 2, which got glowing reviews from fans and critics alike. However, despite the game’s success, Larian surprisingly didn’t capitalize on it much, with nary a single ounce of DLC released in the subsequent years for fans to consume. Which was certainly refreshing in some respects, but for people who were really invested in the world, the story, and the characters, it might be disappointing that they didn’t get to explore it more.

But weep no longer, fans: you can finally return to the world of Divinity Original Sin 2 in the upcoming spin-off game, Divinity: Fallen Heroes.

Divinity: Fallen Heroes is a new tactical game oozing with RPG elements, developed as a co-production between Larian Studios and Logic Artists. Faced with a new evil, we're calling on YOU to command The Lady Vengeance and continue the story of Divinity: Original Sin 2.

The game is a direct follow-up to Divinity, and apparently will follow-up the events of that game… somehow. You’ll be able to recruit the heroes from the first game (somehow) and lead them into battle across 30 hours of missions. On top of commanding yourself, you’ll also have troops that you’ll lead into combat, who will grow and change depending on what factions you befriend. And of course, like every good Divinity game, there’s co-op you can enjoy with a friend.

I have to admit, I have more questions than this video answers, especially as a big fan of the first two games in the Original Sin series (and Dragon Commander, which I shamelessly enjoyed). It would be cool if the game could, say, import data from your playthrough of Divinity: Original Sin 2 Dragon Age style, but even if it doesn’t, It’d be nice to just visit the world one more time. Or however many times they decide to make spin-offs.

I’m good with whatever.
