Another batch of classic NES games has made their way to the Nintendo Switch NES Library. Get ready for the mythological land of Kid Icarus, as well as the humid adventures of StarTropics!

Kid Icarus stars the young and enthusiastic angel Pit. He has to recover the three sacred treasures from the evil goddess Medusa in order to rescue the goddess of light, Palutena. The player controls pit as he scales a series of vertical platformers, shooting down enemy monsters with his bow.

In StarTropics, the player controls Mike Jones, a young pitching star from Seattle. After traveling to a tropical land to visit his uncle Dr. Jones, he learns that his uncle has been abducted. Mike, with the help of the villagers, must find his uncle, uncovering powerful weapons in the process.

Nintendo Switch NES Library is a digital selection of games originally released on the Nintendo Entertainment System, released on The Nintendo Switch. The library offers save/load states and online multiplayer connectivity. It's available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service, costing $20 a year.

I've been slowly making my way through the entire Mario game series. So far I'm a few levels into Super Mario Bros 2 and on the last world of Super Mario Bros 3.
