Kabal's Soul-Killing Face is Revealed in Mortal Kombat 11 Update

But it's not exactly the wretched view we were expecting.

Kabal, the masked warrior of Mortal Kombat, no longer needs to hide behind pixelation. The latest update to Mortal Kombat 11 removed the censorship from Kabal's fatality.

Kabal was a special warrior that survived an attack from a Shao Kahn extermination squad. The attack left him hurt and disfigured however. His horrible appearance brought by this would be a recurring joke throughout the series. In MK11, we see this in a fatality where Kabal reveals his face, which is so ugly, it scares the soul out of the enemy. His actual appearance is hidden behind a pixelation of his head and shoulders.

In a recent update to the game, that pixelation is removed. But what's underneath is worse than we thought. No, it's not scary, but almost silly. The "ugly face" is revealed as large, bulging eyes and wavy, extended hair. It looks more like a joke from Beetleguise than a disfigured person.

This is only one change in a number of Brutalities added to the game in the update. But the rest are "for players to discover," according to the developers.

We won't sugar coat it, he looks dumb. But we're not against it. Some outlandishness is nice in the brutal nature of the game.
