It was only a matter of time before John Wick, the action thriller film series, would get its own video game. But instead of being an action shooter like we would have thought, it's a strategy game. It's called John Wick Hex.

Under development by Bithell Games, the people behind Volume and Subsurface Circular, John Wick Hex will be releasing on PC and consoles in the near future. The studio describes the game as a fast-paced, action-oriented strategy game that makes you think and strike like John Wick.

In keeping with the style of the films, there will be a level of realism to gameplay. Every action matters, from when you reload your weapon to where you get your ammunition. The game will require precise strategic thinking in order to beat the odds presented to the player.

It's been confirmed via the debut trailer above that Lance Reddick will return to voice his role as Charon, the Continental Hotel concierge, and Ian McShane will return for Winston.

The release date for John Wick Hex has not been confirmed, nor for which consoles it will be coming to. As for PC, the game appears to be an Epic Games Store exclusive.

John Wick is also back in theatres next week in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum.
