Horizon: Zero Dawn to Run in 1080p, 30fps

Sounds good to me, considering the cinematic touch.

Earlier, we celebrated the E3 2015 announcement of an original IP from the Killzone developers, Horizon: Zero Dawn. Though we have seen a gameplay video of it we didn't know much more about it until just recently, as art director Jan-Bart van Beek reveals some meaty little tidbits.

He confirmed that Horizon: Zero Dawn will run at 1080p and at 30fps on the PlayStation 4, utilizing a modified version of the Killzone: Shadow Fall engine.

When interviewed by Videogamer at E3, he referred to the new engine as thus:

"It is actually still the same engine but then [there is] an enormous leap from Shadow Fall to this.

The Shadow Fall engine isn't an open-world streaming world engine so for the last two years a lot of technological effort has gone into actually being able to make it work like this."

According to van Beek, Horizon will focus on player trial and error, killing tutorials. Horizon: Zero Dawn will release eventually in 2016 for the PlayStation 4.
