Halo 5: Guardians may not have the best campaign in the world, but it at least has smashed sales records. Just one week after launch, Halo 5 has smashed records as the biggest Halo launch and fastest-selling Xbox One exclusive game. Over $400 million in global sales of Halo 5. The franchise has thus reached a $5 billion point in its lifetime. It's also the most played of any game on Xbox One and Xbox Live, as fans have logged more than 21 million hours of total gameplay--12 million of those hours are just in campaign alone.

Want more Halo statistics? Well, seven million multiplayer matches have taken place across Arena and Warzone. Even more so, Halo fans seem to dig the Requisition System, as there have been over 45 million REQ Packs acquired and more than 568 million REQ Cards obtained.

Hell, even the Halo 5: Live broadcast we mentioned earned an achievement. It has earned the Guinness World Records title for most watched video game launch broadcast, generating 5.5 million total view throughout the week. In fact, this led to the spike in sales, so keep this tactic in mind, publishers.

According to Phil Spencer, head of Xbox:

"The success of Halo 5: Guardians' is a testament to the innovative work from the entire team at 343 Industries to bring this installment to Xbox One and the incredible community of fans who have come to love the story, characters and gameplay central to the franchise. The game represents all the possibilities of Xbox One and has earned its place as the anchor title in the greatest holiday games lineup in Xbox history."

However, you're just dying for more statistics, aren't you? Well, Halo 5 is currently the highest-rated Xbox One exclusive on Metacritic, and within the first week, the FPS became the most streamed Xbox One exclusive title. How many hours were watched? Oh, only 3 million hours. Nothing big.

Professional players as young as 13 are preparing for the upcoming Halo World Championship, which will begin in December and last until March. The tournament will also be divided into five regions--only the best players from US and Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Greater Asia, Latin America, as well as Australia and New Zealand will be battling for dominance. Thanks to the REQ System sales, the prize pool has reached $1.5 million, with much more room to grow.

Halo 5: Guardians is available for $59.99 at retailers, both digital and physical.
