Grounded, the open world survival game by Obsidian, is still a work in progress. And today, were getting to see some of the progress. Introducing the Shroom and Doom update.

Announced during the Xbox Bethesda E3 showcase, this update introduces a number of changes and new additions to the game. This included pets, new materials, and new natural threats.

Pets will be a new option, allowing players to tame small insects and keep them around. They will also be able to find and harvest giant mushrooms, using their material to craft stone-like structures (like castles) for better fortifications. As for the Doom, they added a new Broodmother spider, who's bigger, and more dangerous than anything in the game prior.

The Shroom and Doom update will release in Grounded on June 30. The game can be found on PC and consoles, as well as Xbox Game Pass.
