Of course there's Doom.

Google had quite the gaming unveiling today, known as "Stadia Connect." Sure, we've learned of the pricing of the service - $9.99 for the "Pro" version, which grants you access to older games and powerful streaming at 4K 60fps - and some other details, but what we are here for are the games. Or... at least this particular article is about the list of games you'll find at launch.

So, a quick note about the games: You will need to purchase new games separately. In other words, they are not included in the subscription fees. Pricing for these titles are unknown at this time of writing.

Without further ado, here's what you can look forward to come launch day (courtesy of the Verge and their list):
  • Bandai Namco - Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
  • Bethesda - DOOM 2016, DOOM Eternal, The Elder Scrolls Online, Rage 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood
  • Bungie - Destiny 2
  • Capcom - TBD
  • Coatsink - Get Packed (Stadia exclusive)
  • Codemasters - GRID
  • Deep Silver - Metro Exodus
  • Drool - Thumper
  • Electronic Arts - TBD
  • Giants Software - Farming Simulator 19
  • Larian Studios - Baldur's Gate 3
  • nWay Games - Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid
  • Rockstar Games - TBD
  • Sega - Football Manager
  • SNK - Samurai Shodown
  • Square Enix - Final Fantasy XV, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider 2013: Definitive Edition
  • 2K Games - NBA 2K, Borderlands 3
  • Tequila Works - Gylt (Stadia exclusive)
  • THQ - Darksiders Genesis
  • Ubisoft - Assassin's Creed Odyssey, The Crew 2, Just Dance, Tom Clancy's The Division 2, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Trials Rising
  • Warner Bros. - Mortal Kombat 11
So what do you think of these options?

In my particular opinion, I think they are alright to begin with. At the current moment, I'm none too fond of Gylt or Get Packed being Stadia Exclusive. While that is a complaint for another day, to put it simply, players need options, yes, but at the same time, I am unsure if I want to purchase a title that can only be played from cloud servers.

Just... thank goodness Baldur's Gate 3 is not Stadia Exclusive.
