Google Adds 10 More Games to the Stadia Launch

None of them revolutionary but it's still better.

Google Stadia is right around the corner, and while it hasn’t even launched yet, people are still raising a fuss because it already looks disappointing. On top of missing a whole lot of promised features (likely because it was rushed out for Black Friday), it was only set to launch with a grand total of 12 games – most of which were old and not terribly exciting. If the goal was to raise hype, Google did the opposite, and now it seems like they’re trying desperately to course-correct before their launch turns into a crash.

So, it was announced that on top of the 12 games initially announced, 10 more would be joining their ranks: putting the total number of games at 22. Still not great, but maybe more worth investigating.

They include:
  • Attack on Titan: Final Battle 2
  • Farming Simulator 2019
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • Football Manager 2020
  • Grid 2019
  • Metro Exodus
  • NBA 2K20
  • Rage 2
  • Trials Rising
  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood
If these games look familiar, it’s because they’re the games Google said would be joining the Stadia later in 2019. It seems they moved up the release dates to make the launch a bit more exciting, which may mean that the rest of the year will be comparatively scant as far as Stadia launches go.

But who knows, maybe they’ll surprise us.
